NSW: Guard of Honour as Ryan goes
Civilian and police staff will form a guard of honour for PETER RYAN as he leaves policeheadquarters on his final day as New South Wales Police Commissioner.
Mr RYAN ends six years as the state's top cop today but controversy still surroundshis departure.
He leaves with two years still to go on his contract -- and there is ongoing disputeover whether he resigned or was pushed.
New South Wales opposition leader JOHN BROGDEN has renewed his accusations that PoliceMinister MICHAEL COSTA misled parliament over Mr RYAN's departure, and called on the ministerto resign.
State Governor MARIE BASHIR is expected to approve Mr RYAN's contract termination attoday's executive council meeting.
The opposition has called on her to hold off on approval until its request to the ICACand the PIC to investigate the matter has been acknowledged.
